What is Publifye?
The Lord gave the word: great was the company of those that published it. (Psalm 68:11)
People ask me what Publifye actually is. A publisher? A software house? A ministry? It is not always easy to answer briefly, because we did not grow from a plan — we grew from a conviction, and the conviction came first.
From TruthBeTold Ministry to Publifye AS
It started in 2016 as TruthBeTold Ministry. I wrote the first publication engine myself and coordinated fifty freelance translators around the world, building parallel Bibles — translations woven together verse by verse, so a reader could hold their own language and another side by side. In hindsight I see that God was not only building books in those years; He was building the presses — digital ones, every one of them. Every tool we own today exists because some book demanded it and nothing we could rent would do it right.
What Publifye is today
So today Publifye AS is a Norwegian publishing house in Oslo that builds its own presses — and runs them. More than 4,200 Bible editions on Kindle, Apple Books, Kobo and Barnes & Noble. A library of our own titles in 36 languages, free to read. The complete NB2026 Norwegian Bible — 31,170 verses. Our own ISBN block from Nasjonalbiblioteket, with legal deposit filed for what we publish. Everything we publish today is digital — printed editions will come, in their time. And the presses themselves became products: Darash for searching the Hebrew and Greek, Junifye for writing and publishing, Lexifye for dictionaries, Tringine for building your own Bible. Every one of them speaks to the AI assistant you already use, because that is where readers and writers are now - yet all voluntarily and not forced.
Free Bibles for churches — the GIFT program
And because a church should never have to pay to give away God's word, the GIFT program stands open: up to 25 free EPUB Bibles for any congregation (resources.publifye.org) that wants to partner with us in the work.
The one-sentence answer
If I must give the one-sentence version, it is this: we publish the books, build the tools, and run the infrastructure — in service of Scripture in many languages — thirty-six and counting. The word is His alone, and we try to honour that.
On paper, for those who ask: Publifye AS, organisation number 826 774 622, incorporated in Oslo on 19 February 2021 — the work itself running since 2016 under the same hands. The company is at publifye.com; the platform is at publifye.org. And for churches, we now run the infrastructure too — websites, email, publishing.
